Maldives: FIFA to assist Football Association of Maldies (FAM)

Male’, MALDIVES – Football Association of Maldives (FAM) President Ilham Ahmed has revealed that the governing body of world football, FIFA has agreed to help the financial crisis of FAM.

Speaking to maldivesoccer.com today Ilham said that their visit to Zurich was very fruitful.

“Our visit to Zurich was very fruitful and President of FIFA, Joseph Sepp Blatter has agreed to help us for the financial crisis.” He said after the visit to Zurich.

Ilham who has travelled to Zurich for an invitation of President Blatter also said that FIFA would assist FAM on various ways.

“Blatter has given the green signal for helping us to develop football. I don’t want to mention about all the details but it was a very fruitful meeting and FIFA will help us on various projects.”

Ilham who won the presidents post after defeating Ali Azim in last January, will depart to Malaysia
