Male’, MALDIVES – Disciplinary Committee of Football Association of Maldives has taken action against the players and officials who were involved in the mass brawl during the Dhiraagu Dhivehi League match between VB Addu FC and BG Sports.
In a statement released by FAM last night, it says that the disciplinary committee takes the action based as per the 38 and 39 point of the disciplinary code if FAM based on the match commissioners report and the video of the incident.
BG Sports Ashad Ali has suspended for 6 matches with a fine of MVR 4500.00, Solah suspended for 5 matches with a fine of MVR 4000.00. BG Sports manager Ali Rizwan was suspended for 10 matches with a fine of MVR 7500 and BG Sports official Asim Jaufar was suspended for 8 matches with a fine of MVR 6000.00.
Disciplinary committee has advised the executive committee of FAM to fine BG Sports with a total of MVR 7500.00 for their supporter’s behavior during the incident.

VB Addu FC’s Ismail Mohamed was suspended for 5 matches with a fine of MVR 4000, Hassan Fairooz was suspended for 6 matches with a fine of MVR 4500.00 and Viktor Branimirov was suspended for 5 matches with a fine of MVR 4000.00.
In the statement also says that the complaints made by BG Sports and VB Addu FC regarding the match referee is not in their mandate and advised the referees committee to look into the matter.
Disciplinary committee has also taken action against Valencia's Mukhuthar Naseer for vandalizing the Mic of TVM when he left the pitch after the red card against New Radiant. He was suspended for 2 matches with a fine of MVR 4000.
