Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant Sports Club retained the top spot of the AFC Cup group F, after beating Myanmar’s Yangon United by 3-1 here in Male’.
New Radiant started the match without their key player Ali Ashfaq but in the first minute of the game Umair made a good attempt on target from a descent cross from the right flank by Hussain Niyaz.
In the 10th minute, Yangon’s Cesaz supplied a good ball to unmarked Kone inside the box, but he failed to control it.

Six minutes later Ali Umar supplied a good ball to Mohamed Umair, who was unmarked inside the box but his shot went wide. Mohamed Umair broke the deadlock in the 30th minute from a superb shot inside the box, which hits the top corner of the net. Seven minutes later Ali Fasir doubled the lead from a powerful shot inside the box. A descent pass from Rilwan Waheed.
Sylla Mansa scored their third goal in the extra minute of the first half from a close range header from Umair’s corner kick. Seven minutes after the break Kone made another good attempt on target but keeper Imran Mohamed saved it.
In the 70th minute Mohamed Umair made a good long range shot on target but keeper saved it as well.
Kone scored Yangon United’s only goal in the 89th minute from a powerful shot just outside the box.
