Male’, MALDIVES – VB Addu FC has secured their first win in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League after beating Victory Sports Club by 3-0.
In the third minute of the game VB Addu FC created their first chance as Adam Lareef’s headed the cross from Ziyan but it went over the bar.
Ten minutes later again Adam Lareef penetrated the defense line and made a good shot but this time too it went wide.
In the 24th minute Abdulla Haneef of VB Sports missed one of the best chances they got so far in the match. He got the ball inside the box while he was unmarked but shot it wide.
A minute later Abdulla Haneef broke the deadlock from a superb shot inside the box. All credit goes to Ziyan who supplied the ball.
Two minutes before the break Victory’s Hussain Shimaz missed a golden opportunity to level the game. Liyah gave a superb ball to Shimaz but his powerless shot went straight to the keeper’s gloves.
Just two minutes after the break Awilo doubled the lead from a superb shot inside the box.
Seven minutes before the normal time Awilo made another good shot but it went wide.
Ismail Mamdhooh, who was introduced in the 72nd minute managed to put his name on the score sheet in the last minute of the game by scoring from a superb cross by Awilo from the right flank.
In the next match of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League, New Radiant Sports Club will play against Maziya Sports and Recreation Club on 6th May at 1550 hours.
